What is Steampunk? Is the question on the mind of many folks in this sleepy little river town. The vendor market at this first-time festival will introduce the fanciful world of Steampunk to the community of Plattsmouth, Nebraska, bringing the first impressions of this extraordinary genre to many of the attendees. This festival of whimsy will show folks what Steampunk is, how much fun it can be, how kind and courteous “steamies” tend to be, and will give folks the opportunity to take a little piece of their experience home with them.
The Steamship Landing Exposition is accepting applications for vendors who would like to offer items for sale at our steampunk festival on June 13-14, 2020.
Vendor booths will be 10x10 (ten foot by ten foot) for single booths and 10x20 (ten foot by twenty foot) for double booths.
No vendor booths have the ability to have power or running water provided. Any of these requirements will need to be met by the vendor.
Artisan and merchandise vendors will set up on Main Street between 6th and 4th street in pre-defined spaces as identified by the Plattsmouth Conservancy Steampunk Committee. Vendors can begin set-up Saturday, June 13, 2020 as early as 8:00 AM. All vehicles not a permanent part of the vendor booth must be removed from Main Street no later than 9:30 AM.
The vendor market will be advertised as open and available for public enjoyment on Saturday, June 13, 2020 between the hours of 10:00AM – 6:00 PM and Sunday June 14, 2020, 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM. Vendors have the option to remain active and open up to 12:00AM Sunday (midnight Saturday night) if they so choose. We request all vendors remain open until 2:00 PM on Sunday unless other arrangements have been agreed upon. Failure to do so will result in those vendors not being asked to return to future events.
All vendor booths in their entirety must be removed by 3:45 PM on Sunday June 14, 2020. Main Street will re-open for regular traffic patterns no later than 4:00 PM Sunday June 14, 2020.
We have a limited number of spaces available for food vendors.
Vendors will be responsible for their property throughout the event in its entirety. No security will be provided. Vendors will be responsible for maintaining their own insurance for their property.
Vehicles will not be permitted on Main Street during the event period identified as 9:30 AM Saturday June 13th through 2:00 PM Sunday June 14th.
It will be the responsibility of any food vendors to be in compliance with and obtain any necessary permits from the Nebraska Department of Agriculture.
All vendors will be responsible for collecting, reporting and paying any applicable sales and use tax required by law.
Tents, canopies, tables, and any other display items must be reasonably secured. The Steamship Landing Exposition is a rain or shine event and vendors will be expected to be prepared for inclement weather.
The Steamship Landing Exposition is a family oriented event. Any items displayed are expected to be appropriate for all ages.
Portable generators will be permitted as long as they are in compliance with any local, state, or federal safety regulations and laws.
Any goods or service deemed illegal under federal, state, county or city laws are prohibited.
No overnight accommodations will be made by the Plattsmouth Conservancy Steampunk Committee. Vendors will be responsible for their own lodging. NOTE: The College World Series will be hosted in Omaha, Nebraska during the Steamship Landing Exposition. This may cause lodging and hotel availability to be minimal. If overnight accommodations are needed, we encourage folks to make their reservations as soon as possible.
